Thuesday, 24 January 2012
Pacific, Caribbean and Mediterranean island are involved in stiff competition to become big in the casino gambling industry.Singapore is now set to expand beyond finance and trading in an effort to become the Asian casino hub. Their newly developed casino strategy aims to attract millions of Chinese, Indian and Australian gamblers, taking it to the top of the gambling world.More than $10B has been invested in the development of high class casinos that will rival the best the world can offer.Meanwhile, in the Mediterranean, Cyprus is considering the construction of a new casino on the site of an old airport.

Malta is also striking back at their UK competitors, their attractive tax rates and climate making it a popular destination. In the Caribbean, Barbados and Antigua are targeting American and Canadian gamblers. Their favourable climate make them a perfect location, so it seems, to offer gambling entertainment.
